DevOps Engineer - REMOTE

We are seeking a full time DevOps Engineer to help us deliver an exceptional Community experience by ensuring its availability and stability. You will work with a team of diverse and skilled developers as well as a product manager to improve infrastructure and automate processes ensuring a flawless customer experience seeking.

You will be reporting to the VP of Product Operations and will be responsible for configuration and version management, tracking and assessing release performance, troubleshooting, and optimizations of the CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help establish a culture of DevOps; explain and educate teams on DevOps, best practices, and the principles behind it
  • Aid in establishing standards in Source Code Management / Version control
  • Build, maintain and scale infrastructure on cloud-based systems
  • Build, maintain a functional and optimized CI/CD pipeline
  • Establish processes and tools to optimize release and deployment management
  • Aid in the development of automated testing on both Web and Mobile platforms
  • Serve as the point of contact for all infrastructure incidents
  • Own and maintain documentation as it pertains to release processes and CI/CD

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Agile software development
  • 5+ years Mobile/Web DevOps experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in programming languages; Python, Java, Javascript - including React Native
  • 5+ years’ experience Docker, Vercel, Git, Jira, Opsgenie, Jenkins, and other core DevOps tools
  • Experience with deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud-based software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working on a remote, distributed team
  • Comfortable with Slack being your “home”
  • QA experience
