Javascript Web Developer for Business Intelligence - REMOTE

Community.co is seeking a full-time Javascript Web Developer to support our Business Intelligence team. This position will be a cross-functional role that will work closely with the front- end development team to develop applications that increase the internal visibility of our business intelligence findings and help our internal business stakeholders to understand our members’ behavior and needs in actionable ways.

You will report to the VP of Business Intelligence, and you will also be working closely with the Product Development team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop internal-facing applications with React, Node.js and GraphQL
  • Produce well-tested, highly-supportable and performant code
  • Own work and deliverables, from inception to completion
  • Translate requirements into excellent system capabilities and features
  • Work in an agile methodology, both independently as well as collaboratively
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Javascript expertise, both in React and in Node.js
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, ideally experienced with Apollo server & client best-practices
  • Comfortable with Docker
  • Proficient in Git version control and GitHub
  • SQL and NoSQL data structures and schemas
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter, excellent time management
  • Knows how to get the most from automated tests (Mocha, Jest or similar)
  • Experience working with APIs

 

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have experience with one or more of the following tools and processes:

  • Federated GraphQL development
  • Enterprise platforms and scalable application design
  • White label and/or multi-tenant system design
  • Familiar with cloud technologies and platforms (AWS / GCP)
  • Intuition for great product design
  • Creating your own apps from start to finish
  • Integrating third-party solutions for data visualization
