Senior Editor - REMOTE is seeking a full-time Senior Editor to support an exciting new media venture.

Who You Are

The right candidate is a seasoned, entrepreneurial Senior Editor who can help shape and grow new media platforms serving business and thought leaders across the globe. Reporting to the Managing Editor, this new role will lead the publication of exclusive, valuable, mission-critical editorial insights and resources reflecting a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities confronting executives today. You’ll work across a variety of brands and industries such as cannabis, entertainment, media, and human resources. This role requires the ability to lead a growing team of contributors while actively crafting content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign, edit, write and produce original content for a new website and email newsletter (and potentially other platforms) that will attract and engage business and thought leaders
  • Cultivate a diverse team of business journalists skilled at pitching and crafting clean, accurate, trusted multimedia content on a variety of topics
  • Use analytics to inform ongoing revisions to editorial strategy and editorial schedules, updating or relaunching top-performing content to maintain search rankings and re-engage readers and replicating successful content franchises across industries and other audience segments
  • Optimize the value of’s membership population with exclusive content and value-added resources to support members’ own publishing efforts
  • Contribute to the rapid expansion of our new media venture -- powerful new content franchises that enhance the brand, new and bigger and higher-quality audiences, new platforms
  • Lead, develop and participate in teams across our remote workforce with an emphasis on building an innovative culture, achieving department and organizational goals and objectives, and taking accountability for exceptional performance


  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as an editor at digital publishers, ideally serving sophisticated business audiences with exclusive, mission-critical reporting. Experience contributing to or leading email newsletters a plus
  • Familiarity (if not fluency) with topics such as executive compensation, executive travel, employee and customer communication, growing a business, and other critical concerns
  • Vast and diverse network of business writers and multimedia producers to add to our roster of potential contributors
  • Demonstrated comfort level navigating and making the most of content management systems (CMS) to produce new and update existing digital content
  • Skilled at editorial search-engine optimization (SEO)
  • Adept at mining analytics platforms to identify opportunities for new or updated content with greater potential for success
  • Proven ability to work with editors, writers, product teams, and designers to develop and deliver trusted, uniquely engaging content on deadline
  • Exceptional understanding of the content marketplace, with a passion for shaping and managing innovative content packages
  • Recent leadership experience, with a commitment to the values of building and growing a diverse staff
  • Superior organizational and collaborative abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills
