Senior Mobile App Developer - REMOTE

Community.co is seeking a full-time Senior Mobile App developer to join our fast-paced team. We develop products that help members connect to one another and our partners in meaningful ways, get exposure through publishing and editorial tools, and access exclusive offers. You possess technical subject matter expertise and are able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in a remote work environment and welcome both the freedom and responsibility that comes with it.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a part of a small team that includes Product Owners, Developers, and UX designers
  • Decompose requirements into implementation tasks with high-level estimates
  • Own work and deliverables, from inception to completion
  • Collaborating with back-end engineers to clarify and scope new functionalities and APIs
  • Produce well-tested, highly supportable, and performant code
  • Communicate progress, timeline, scope, and risk of deliverables
  • Collaborating with UX to implement pixel-perfect user interfaces
  • Build app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes
  • Present and demonstrate in-progress and completed work to Product Owners and stakeholders
  • Work in agile/Scrum principles, both independently as well as collaboratively
  • Participate in support and troubleshooting
  • Design and implement user interface components for JavaScript-based web and mobile applications using React ecosystem
  • Work with native modules as and when required
  • Use Native APIs for tight integrations with both platforms – Android and iOS
  • Write automated tests to ensure error-free code and performance
  • Improve front-end performance by eliminating performance bottlenecks
  • Create front-end modules with maximum code reusability and efficiency
  • Implement clean, smooth animations to provide an excellent user interface
  • Work with third-party dependencies and APIs

 

Qualifications

  • Publishing Mobile apps to Apple App Store and Google Play Store
  • Writing/Maintaining GitHub actions
  • Full app lifecycle, including concept, design, test, release, and support phases
  • JavaScript development using Node.js
  • Strong React Native background (Redux, Saga, ES6)
  • SQL and NoSQL data structures and schemas
  • Unit testing /Integration testing with Jest
  • White label and/or multi-tenant system design
  • Third-party API integrations
  • JIRA/Confluence
  • Agile/Scrum

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Typescript
  • GraphQL with Apollo
  • Enterprise platforms and scalable application design
  • Experience developing native mobile applications with iOS (Swift / Object C) or Android (Java / Kotlin)
  • Microsoft AppCenter
  • Cloud technologies and platforms (GCP)
  • CI/CD Experience
